Best Time for Rishikesh Rafting

Rafting is Rishikesh starts in September after monsoon season. Normally it ends in June month before the monsoon. Spring and summer is peak season for rafting. During Dec – Jan most of the people don't dare do rafting due to very cold water. However, some people feel it more adventurous.

Rishikesh Rafting Tips

If you are coming to Rishikesh for the first time for rafting, you should keep some important tips in mind. You should always listen to all the instructions from your guide. Don't be overconfident about your skills. Use some simple techniques such as jumping to the high side of the raft while running through rapid. Select proper rafting stretch as per your age. Some rafting stretches are not safe for children or senior citizens. For children (more than 07 years), senior citizen or first-timers can enjoy Rafting from Brahmpuri to Rishikesh. It has Grade I and Grade II rapids and it is 2 hrs long rafting which is suitable for them. Shivpuri Rafting is suitable for 15 years to 45 years old people (Rapids up to Grade III). Kaudiyala Rafting is suitable for 18 years old to 45-year-old people (Rapids up to grade IV). Don't forget to carry necessary medications, such as inhalers or insulin etc.

Rapids at the Rishikesh Rafting

From Kaudiyala to Rishikesh there are 16 rapids in total 36 km's distance. There are up to grade IV types of rapid are here at Kaudiyala to Rishikesh Rafting. Grade I rapid is slow flow and it is suitable for children below 12 years. Grade II rapid is little fast flow than Grade I. Grade III rapids are adventurous and expert advice is needed. In Grade IV rapid you can see white water along with rocks. Grade V and VI are not for general people. From Brahmpuri to Rishikesh Rafting we have Up to Grade II rapids. Safety Guidelines at Rishikesh Rafting

If you follow some basic precautions you can enjoy rafting safely. Rapids above Grade III+ are not suitable for children and senior citizens. Select proper lifejacket which fits yours. Don't use damaged of oversized life jackets. Don't try to do rafting after sunset. Rafting is not safe in dark. Use mosquito repellants and lotions. Avoid perfume because it attracts insects. Water is sometimes very cold so use cloths which is easy to dry.
