On arrival in Manali check-in to the Hotel and relax till afternoon. Have your Lunch, Meet with your Tour leader in the Hotel. Check your motorbike in the Afternoon. Enjoy a short & guided motorbike tour of Manali which will help you to test your motorbike and get used to the roads. Dinner & Overnight stay at hotel.
Today wake up early in the morning and after breakfast begin your adventure. Start your ride towards Rohtang Pass (3978 meters). Enjoy your ride while crossing over Rohtang Pass (3980 m) and crossing beautiful villages of Lahul Valley. Enjoy a delicious dinner & Overnight stay in homestay/hotel.
Today After breakfast in the morning your ride will start towards Sarchu. Your ride will take you through some of the best Himalayan landscape & many water streams. Enjoy the splendid view as you will cross the Baralacha Pass (5000 meters above sea level). Enroute you will find 2 lakes, One is Deepak Tal & second is Suraj Tal. Keep riding towards Sarchu which is the border line between Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh. Relax for the rest of day. Enjoy overnight dinner & camp stay.
After breakfast in the morning start riding towards Leh. Today you have to cover approx 253 kms on your Royal enfield. Enter into the Ladakh region of Jammu and Kashmir. Leh, a high altitude desert city in the Himalayas, It is also the capital of the Ladakh region in northern India’s Jammu and Kashmir. cross Naki mountain ranges, Nakee La, Lachung La(5065 m) and Tanglang La(5300 m)which is the supposedly the highest mountain pass on the Manali – Leh highway and the world’s second highest motorable road. You will also cross the villages of Upshi and Rumtse, and drive along the pristine Indus River. reach Leh and stay overnight.
Leh has a mixed Muslim and Buddhist population and has both a large Masjid and a Tibetan Gompa. The main central street is lined with curio shops and has many eating places serving a wide range of cuisine. We can take the opportunity to explore Leh on foot and check out the old fort that looks over the city. The evening is spent lazing around the peaceful residential suburb of Changspa, in one of the many garden restaurants that thrive in the area. Enjoy a late night barbecue under the starry sky, with tall tales of motorcycling mis achievements in far corners of the world.
After the breakfast today we will start riding to Khardungla pass a mountain pass in between Leh and Nubra Valley. Explore the incredible landscapes of the Khardungla pass and then head towards Nubra valley which offers tremendous yet accessible scenery with green oasis villages surrounded by thrillingly slopes, rockey fields, and harsh arid mountains.
Today we will ride over one of the remotest route of Ladakh, made especially for the Indian Army, which connects Pangong lake to Nubra Valley bypassing Leh. This route was washed away in a cloud burst in 2010. Parts of it are still not rebuilt. With various stream crossings, riding on dry riverbeds, smooth tarmac and switchbacks, it truly is a religious experience for an adventure rider. Finally reach at your real treat "Magical Pangong Lake" Overnight stay in camps at Pangong Lake.

Today you ride through the third highest motorable pass in the world, the Chang La pass at 17,586 feet. The magical plains of Changthang open up before Chang La, Enroute visit some of the beautiful monastery of Ladakh region. Reach Leh during evening hours.Overnight stay in Hotel.
After breakfast start riding towards Tso Kar Lake. known for its size and depth, is a fluctuating salt lake situated in the Rupshu Plateau and valley in the southern part of Ladakh. Explore the Lake then head towards Sarchu. Overnight stay in camps at Sarchu.
After breakfast start riding towards Manali. The landscape seems different on the way out, the perspective changes and we have more time to notice things that we missed the last time around. Reach Manali in the evening. our Trans-Himalayan ride have came to the end, you are free to go for your next Destination with memories filled with adventure.

Me and my sons 19 and 17 years, were desperate to do a cycling tour in India after our Nepal tour with Explore Himalaya.I was nervous doing this kind of trip in India. However, our guide Akshay had planned out the safest tour and he was very safety conscious. It was an enjoyable 8-day trip and though there were some nerve-wracking road rides, most of the trip was awesome with few to no traffic. Would definitely recommend Explore Himalaya to other travelers.
