Northeast India comprises of Sikkim and seven sister states which are Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Assam, Meghalaya, Tripura, Manipur, and Nagaland. Placed in a unique geographical position, northeastern states share their borders with different south Asian countries from Nepal, Bhutan, Myanmar, China to Bangladesh. This is how the northeastern states of India get a distinct cultural identity. With approximately 220 ethnic groups in the northeast, there are around 220 odd languages spoken in the region. Majuli, the world’s largest riverine island is in northeast India. Northeast India attracts people from all walks of life for its rich biological diversity and its imperial railway infrastructure. The toy train is fairly popular among tourists and is one of the highlights of experiencing northeast on wheels.

Arrive at Guwahati Airport/Railway station. Our Trip Manager will pick you from the Airport/Railway station. Drive to the Hotel. Explore Guwahati in the Evening. Overnight stay and dinner at the Hotel.
After breakfast Proceed to Shillong, also called 'Scotland of the East" (100 km 3 hr). Reach the majestic Umiam Lake (Barapani). You may do the water sports here (Optional). Visit Don Bosco Monument, Ward’s Lake where you can enjoy boating, Botanical Garden and Lady Hydri Park. Then check-in at your hotel. Overnight stay in Shillong.
Today drive to Cherrapunji (65km) – the wettest place on the earth. en-route visit Elephant Falls & Shillong Peak. check-in into the hotel after resting for a while we will visit Mawsmai Cave, Mawsami Falls, Seven Sister Falls & Nohkalikai Falls. Evening return to the hotel and overnight stay at Cherrapunjee.
Today After morning breakfast, we will drive till Nongrihat than we will do a 3 hours trek to see the famous Double Decker Root Bridge, visit the nearby waterfalls. During the return to Shillong, visit the local churches and markets of Cherrapunjee. Return to Shillong for overnight Dinner and stay.
After breakfast in the morning, we will go to see the famous Mawllynnong Village, considered to be the cleanest village in Asia, spend some time here exploring, seeing the living root bridges, before finally going to see the amazing border town of Dawki. The Umngot River flowing from here is the main attraction owing to its crystal-clear waters, you can try cliff jumping here, return to Mawllynnong for overnight stay and dinner.
After breakfast, you will be first heading to Mawphlang to see the famous Sacred Grove, a green paradise famous amongst nature lovers. From here, we will return to Shillong, you can rest in your hotel or you can stroll in the Local market totally depends on you. Overnight at Shillong.
